Call for papers

                                                   INNOVATION LABS: THEORY AND PRACTICE

Deadline for manuscript submissions: 30 September 2020

Innovation labs have gained increasing importance to address complex societal problems. In the current international context, there are various experiences, interpretations, and applications of this concept with similarities and differences but all of them are based fundamentally on the establishment of new forms of participation and collaboration between governments and civil society.

This call is focused on theoretical, methodological, and empirical approaches from different academic and practical perspectives, including cases studies. We therefore invite contributions that respond to the following criteria:

  • State-of-the-art review of Innovation Lab concepts and their usage
  • Case studies and best practices
  • Research methods in innovation labs
  • Types of innovation labs
  • Stakeholder engagement in innovation labs
  • Relations between innovation labs and public service delivery
